The Mobile Security for Business Dashboard displays the mobile device’s protection status and features. This article describes the features and the actions available to the end user.
Protection status
On the top of the screen, the Dashboard displays the device's protection status. This section indicates if actions are needed to protect the device.
- Device secure displays if Security features are active, and system permissions are granted.
- Device not secure displays when a Security feature is inactive on iOS devices. Tapping Activate displays instructions to enable system permissions on the device.
- On Android and ChromeOS devices, the app defaults to the system permissions screen.
Scanner
For Android and ChromeOS devices.
Malwarebytes scans your device for ransomware, malware, adware, spyware, and potentially unwanted programs (PUPs). Detected malicious files are removed automatically. User action is required to ignore or remove detected apps.
- Scan now button starts a manual scan. If a scan is ongoing, Stop scan button ends the scan.
- Tapping Update available manually updates the Protection databases.
Real-Time Protection
For Android and ChromeOS devices.
Enable Real-Time Protection to block detected threats in real-time, such as malware, exploits, ransomware, and PUPs. Detected malicious files are removed automatically. User action is required to ignore or remove detected apps. When enabled, the feature status displays On, and a notification displays on the device’s Silent notification area.
Web Protection
For iOS and iPadOS devices.
Enable Web Protection to protect Safari browser from loading suspicious and malicious websites. When enabled, feature status displays On.
Ad Blocking
For iOS and iPadOS devices.
Enable Ad Blocking to prevent Safari browser from loading ads and to block ad trackers. When enabled, feature status displays On.
Help icon
The Help icon is located on the top right corner of the Dashboard. Tapping the Help icon provides app details and app diagnostic log options. For more information, see Help screen in Mobile Security for Business.
