On May 15, 2019 at 8:00PM ET / 5:00PM PT, the Product Team updated our OneView product.
The Product Team have introduced a new role in OneView’s Separation of Duties feature found in the site admin tab. This feature enables you to expand your service offerings to provide unmanaged or co-managed security to your customers.
- In the unmanaged security scenario, you will be able to give your customers access to the OneView console. Your customer will be able to provision and manage security for their environment.
- In the co-managed security scenario, both you and your customer can manage security for their environment (based on your Service Level Agreement you’ve structured with your customers)
The originally available admin roles functionality has not changed but has been renamed global for clarity.
The site admin and viewer roles have been enhanced for separation of duties. Refer to the table below for details of OneView’s Separation of Duties feature.
