There is a lack of security and visibility when it comes to files that are uploaded and downloaded from cloud storage providers. The Malwarebytes Cloud Storage Scanning (CSS) module monitors for malicious files across supported cloud storage providers.
Malwarebytes allows you to harden your environment by adopting a multi-vector defense strategy that monitors your endpoints and cloud storage providers when combining Nebula and CSS. We also make managing cloud storage detections easier by providing you threat visibility within a single console. Utilize Nebula to view data, schedule reports, and receive alerts on cloud storage detections.
Continuous and scheduled monitoring
To begin using CSS, configure a continuous or scheduled scan. Use a continuous scan to automatically monitor for any changes and newly uploaded files. A continuous scan is a more cost-effective way to monitor your cloud storage providers. For more information, see What's the difference between a scheduled scan and a continuous scan.
Data transfer and storage
Using APIs provided by the support cloud storage vendors, CSS securely copies the target files under 100Mb each to a temporary storage location. Files are then scanned and immediately deleted from the temporary storage location. For more information, see How are files scanned.
